We got a serious problem. Editar

Some of you have probably noticed that every time there is new material (recently, those are about ROTF and TFA s3) such as new toy photos, new trailers, even unconfirmed/non official or stolen leak info comes out, there will be "several" users (registered or anon) who get too excited and add info in a poorly written way.

If you see any of these, you need to help the site fix it, clean it, or remove it. Because if no one does it, the site will became a mess. Thank you very much. --TX55TALK 13:12, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

OKAY, I'm very pissed off now.

PLEASE DO NOT copy the whole article from TFWIKI again! I don't care what the GFDL thing, JUST DON'T COPY ANY ARTICLES!

The recent case is Jennifer Witwicky. Some newpage bastard start a crap, then some users replicated the whole page from TFwiki. Even "*Her character brings up some interesting philosophical/ethical/religious questions that TFWiki is now forced to tackle." showed up.

So, I delete the page and tried to rewrite it, but it turn out "not-so-well", since I don't have much source.

That's fine. BUT I become the scapegoat since I've delete the page once, making I'm the only contributor. So, I get blamed, with bad word, making me a completely plagiarizer.

What am I saying is, PLEASE DO NOT copy the whole article from TFWIKI again! Next time banned.

I'm sorry if I've being very rude in the section. --TX55TALK 05:49, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

TX is right, there's a reason there's two different wikis. Damned if I know what it is, but we need to actually use original material here, not shameless plagiarism. What are we, Denis Leary or something? Jeep! 06:17, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

Site theme Editar

Uh, hey! Did I miss a discussion somewhere about changing the site theme? I looked in the usual places, but no mention of it at all. --Tetrap 12:04, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

Actually, Scott have sent me some messages to me about this two months ago. I didn't know the solid way to "improving the search" til yesterday. --TX55TALK 18:47, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
I was kinda surprised when I saw that the whole site scheme had changed without any apparent discussion. At least someone knew about it, but I would have expected there to be some sort of consultation with the user base about it. I mean the new theme looks great and all... but no one thought to say "Hey, we're thinking of changing the site to look like this screenshot. What does everyone think?" --Tetrap 21:36, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
I personally liked the old version more, 'cuz the purple was vaguely Decepticon-y, whereas the red makes me think "OMFG AUTOBOTS", but it's still good....I'll most assuredly get used to it though.--KaotikusNemesis 11:05, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
I figured it was always changed to reflect the newest continuity thing, and the movie faction symbol shows it to be current with the new film coming out, just as the old theme was very Animated-centric. Makes sense to me. Jeep! 01:02, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, but at least last time it was changed there was some discussion beforehand. And the new page title "Transformers 2, Animated, Toys" isn't even accurate - Revenge of the Fallen doesn't have "2" in the title! --Tetrap 04:06, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
I don't know why the staff mentions the theme modification only to me and I'm sorry I forgot to tell everybody here if this caused troublesome issue. As for the "Transformers 2", it is because for the search engine such as Google, Yahoo, Metacrawler much more easily to find the site by just typing "Transformers 2" in the search box. Just like what happen to Terminator Wiki recently. --TX55TALK 14:30, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

Page nameEditar

Moved from User talk:TX55

Hiya. We need to keep the pagetitle without the Teletran stuff in there. It's hurting our pagerank in Google, and we want people to be able to find us. We're trying to keep valuable keywords in that space, and Teletran isn't one of them. If you've got any questions, please let me know. —Scott (talk) 17:37, 9 June 2009 (UTC)

I know it's about the search key word, however, it would also make the site seems no longer "Teletraan I" anymore. That's why I keep the site name. Also, I'd like to hear about other user's opinion here. :D --TX55TALK 01:52, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
Stuffing titles with keywords is an old trick, and most search engines are wise to it now. Google will see we have "Transformers 2" in the title of every page and ignore it. Sitewide titles are rarely relevant for ranking these days and, when it comes down to it, do we want to be "A Transformers wiki" or do we want to be "Teletraan 1: The Transformers Wiki", a name which has some history to it? --Tetrap 02:33, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
I agree with Tetrap; pagerank is a stupid reason to change the name of the site. To me, this wiki is, always has been, and always will be Teletraan-I. Xeno the Hedgehog 06:29, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
And I'd complain about the fact that the main page has been completely changed, with no soliciting of input or otherwise consulting the community, but there doesn't seem to be any point, since Wikia are ignoring us anyway. --Tetrap 21:18, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
Hi, Tetrap. Can you let me know where Wikia is ignoring you?
I admit, I'm a little confused about not caring where the site is ranked in a search. The wiki is a collaborative project that only works when we're maximing the visibility of the site to all Transformers fans. So, if we show up in the top 5 in a search for Transformers, it's a lot better than showing up several pages into Google's search results. This wiki has some amazing content and I believe it's good enough to be one of the internet's top resources for Transformers. Everything we're doing with the front page and pagetitle and welcome templates is to help improve this experience. —Scott (talk) 21:26, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
Well, every comment in this thread so far is in favour of keeping the name Teletraan I, but you seem to instead be having an edit war with TX55 over the page titles. And I never said I didn't care about ranking but, as I did say, Google doesn't place much value in page titles which are the same sitewide. --Tetrap 01:06, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

No offense at all, but I have to say. I know your anxiety to help improving the Teletraan I, but you seldom ask the users' opinion before starting. Even for the new skin, I only receive the mail which says the site will have a interaction with the ROTF film, but it just suddenly comes up. This really makes me astonished. Same as the page title and the ROTF page related.

Back in the old time (both pre-Exodus and just-after-Exodus), any user, sysop, wikia staff would post any major change in the community portal to discuss with the community users. However, we didn't receive message, except for the fact that I receive emails say the site will interact with the ROTF, but I barely saw any concrete method.

I know the server of this site is under Wikia, but how the site works mainly depends on the users in this community. We decide how will our site work. We won't say "We want leave." But at least this place is where we are active, and we know how it works. This just like "Hey, we have a beneficial action to your community"
and then "(Few months after) Hey! Why are you drilling my sidewalks?!"
"Oh, we are making the road of the community wider to make more cars to drive on it."
"Wait, nobody tell me about this! They just tell me there will be a beneficial action to us!"

All I'm saying is, Please post any suggestion on Community Portal for discussion about any change with the local community users. Appreciate.

--TX55TALK 03:11, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

Don't forget, all you unhappy editors - TFWIKI.NET - The Transformers Wiki, the independant site run by the original community that made Teletraan I what it is, doesn't put ya through this sort of rigamarole! - 22:30, 10 June 2009 (UTC)

The new color of the Monaco skin Editar

Um, I think we should change the color of the back ground and the red 'cause I really feel much uncomfortable for my eyes. (By the way, I didn't know the new skin has so much red until yesterday.) Any one have same or similar thought?

Plus, there are many colors waiting for us. I personally think colors such as gold may be good. --TX55TALK 14:42, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

Why not try Decepticon Purple? Xeno the Hedgehog 17:45, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

↑THIS.--KaotikusNemesis 00:25, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
How 'bout just plain white? Predefinição:Unsigned

Is there anybody able to restore the skin into BEFORE the ROTF. The red color is MURDERING my eyes. --TX55TALK 04:04, December 3, 2009 (UTC)

Argh, I forgot only admin can restore it... --TX55TALK 09:34, December 4, 2009 (UTC)
Go to your preferences, click on the "Skin" tab, untick "Let the admins override my skin choice." and pick one of the infinitely more preferable skins listed above it. Much better! --Tetrap 20:54, December 3, 2009 (UTC)
Thanks, but I know this method. However, this will lack the characteristic of the site, since the site logo is cooperate with the skin in-use-now. --TX55TALK 09:34, December 4, 2009 (UTC)

Though I don't like Megan Fox, BUT this skin is A-LOT MUCH MORE BETTER than the current skin. I'd like to have a little vote before I ask a Wikia Staff to change our skin into this. --TX55TALK 04:57, December 11, 2009 (UTC)

  • TX55 vote YES for change into this skin. --TX55TALK 04:57, December 11, 2009 (UTC)
  • I vote the Wikia Gaming skin. Xeno the Hedgehog 17:44, December 11, 2009 (UTC)

Requesting for helpEditar

I've changed the skin, but I met two problem which I don't know how to fix them:

  1. The background is a loop instead just stays at the top
  2. the Metal bar only appear as the background of "Summary, Save page Preview, Minor edit, Watch this page" instead of "Edit this page, History, Move, Watch".

Does any Wikia staff know how to fix it? Thanks a lot! --TX55TALK 13:26, December 20, 2009 (UTC)

You could try adding "background-repeat: no-repeat !important;" to the body tag to fix the first issue... --Tetrap 19:46, December 20, 2009 (UTC)

Thanks, but it seems to not work. :) --TX55TALK 05:13, December 21, 2009 (UTC)

  1. What Tetrap said, works perfectly (body { background-repeat: no-repeat; }).
  2. change .color1, .color1 a { background-image:url(; }
.color1, #page-bar { background-image:url(; }
Osetc 21:35, January 13, 2010 (UTC)
Thank you, the first is solved. :D However, the second remains unsolved, the metal bar still only appears in"Summary, Save page Preview, Minor edit, Watch this page"; "Edit this page, History, Move, Watch" and the several boxes on the left side (search box, Wikianswer) remain blue, is there anything I to type? Thanks. ;-D

The future of this placeEditar

It has come to my attention that the title of "Teletraan 1" has suddenly vanished from the site logo. And in its place has come.... "Transformers Wiki". Hey ho! Guess who else goes by that name!

This move smacks of desperation, and frankly, I don't blame anybody here for feeling that way. I don't know how much community has arisen here since the mass exodus of 2008, but it doesn't look like much. Most attempts to keep the place going have not been terribly successful. The number of articles here has barely grown in... what is it now, 8 months? It's gone from maybe 6,800 at the time of the split, to 7,100 today. Meanwhile, over at the new place, we're rapidly closing in on Article #9,000 - and that's despite the various setbacks and disasters we've had along the way.

I bring this up not because I want to see this site give up or anything, but because -- as Derik pointed out a few months ago -- this site is currently drifting rudderless, and it's drifting along a path that the new site has already forged. This site is currently trying to do what already does, and in the absence of the community that exists there, it's failing miserably.

I would much rather see the site choose a direction of its own instead. And there is a clear and even EASY direction it could follow, one that would answer long-standing complaints about from certain quarters of the fandom: Play it straight. Rework this site as a non-humor-inclusive wiki. Make it an actual ALTERNATIVE to, rather than a slowly-shriveling duplicate husk, coasting on the legacy of a community that has departed.

Of course, I doubt this will happen. Frankly, I think the people who do this complaining don't have the cajones to stand up and actually do anything about it, let alone come together to form a community and take collective action. But, in case I'm wrong, consider this a gauntlet thrown down.

This site will never surpass so long as it continues to float aimlessly in TFWiki's wake. But if it heads into new territory instead, it might actually come to serve a purpose once more. -- Repowers 01:15, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

I dunno, man. I like editing here. And I like the humour. Yeah, the work here's pretty frustrating sometimes but overall I don't feel the need to change the overall vibe. Jeep! 21:26, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
Well, then, dude... at the risk of sounding like an editor-poacher... why don't you just come over to TFWiki.Net? More active website, nearly two thousand more articles, with hundreds more articles in better condition that this websites, and the humor and fun tone that you enjoy about this place... but with actual admins to police the place better (no slight against TX55, he's doing what he can, but it's an uphill battle.) - 23:06, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
Yep, I know you weren't against me at all (really) since it's true they are really better. Since my work here is simply (but work-taking because there are still one sysop now) keeping the site from getting broken apart from those-who-don't-know-how-to-edit-appropriately (TWDnKHTEA). And what's more, frankly speaking (contents hide) Anyway, in short, what I am working on here is to assure there won't fall apart by TWDnKHTEA and there will still be new info added. :) --TX55TALK 02:45, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
I guess I could work on both, I suppose. Jeep! 23:40, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
We'd be happy to have you! -- Repowers 02:43, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
I think the fact so few people on this wiki bother to comment in the community portal speaks volumes about the lack of regular contributors on this site. --FFN 15:55, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

Image name format policy Editar

My God, I just find I forgot to mention this. In order to make the images easily to, um, identified, I would like everyone can upload file with a name format like the following:

  • Comic interior
    • franchise-character name-issue name-misc.jpg
      • g1-kup-ahm5-cigar.jpg

If anyone see this, please have a reply, thanks. ;-D --TX55TALK 02:59, 8 June 2009 (UTC)

ROTF page

I believe there will be lots of eager user who want to edit ROTF-related page.

It's a good thing, but "Out-universe" writting and poor contents (no capitals or words with lot mistakes like "int oteh (into the)".) should be revised/removed when anyone spots it.

Thanks for your helping and cooperation. ;-D --TX55TALK 07:32, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

A letter to all users on Teletraan I Editar

Dear users on Teletraan I:

Hello everyone, this is TX55, one of the administrators of the Teletraan I as you know. I got something to inform you: I need to leave for a while because there are things waiting for me to work them out. So, I'll become only work on non-(main) pages, such as:
  • Deleting files which don't qualify the standard and, if possible, re-uploading them;
  • Deleting pages; tagging articles with {{stub}} or {{cleanup}};
  • Cleaning up new articles;
  • Blocking vandalists;
  • Some bot task.
I'll still poke on (main) pages, excluding those related to Movie, Animated, War for Cybertron / Prime, every once in a while. In other words, I may not be able to clean up or rewrite contents in-universely. I'll convince the Wikia staff to add the new admins and rollback users as soon as possible since the site is really in need of them. Hope to be here regularly and see you more often again. :)
Yours Sincerely, TX55TALK 09:40, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

I'll try to look after the place until you get back, man. Take care! Jeep! 19:03, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
Thank you, Jeep! ;D --TX55TALK 02:29, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

Wiki name? Editar

Dare I enquire, why exactly has this wiki changed names? Teletraan I was so much cooler. Predefinição:Unsigned

For some search key words reason. We want the old name back, too. However, the site name will be back . --TX55TALK 02:29, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
Long story short: This place hardly has any regular editors and the content hasn't significantly changed since September 2008 (when the original staff and most of the editors left), so Wikia attempts to get more google hits than by renaming itself. I don't think it has actually worked. --FFN 19:14, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

Which intrigues me, if it doesn't work why not change back? Predefinição:Unsigned

Though I like to, but I think maybe we should wait until the ROTF wave pass, say, maybe August at fast. --TX55TALK 13:18, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

Neener neenerEditar

Moved from Talk:Main Page has overtaken Wikia (and Wikipedia) in Google ranking. WHERE IS YOUR GOD NOW. -- 01:31, October 14, 2009 (UTC)

Interestingly, this edit is probably a strong contributor to that. As Scarecroe said back in June, the page title is very important for Google rank. -- sannse@fandom (talk) 18:34, October 15, 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, because it's totally not because TFWiki has a more dedicated, knowledgable base of administrators and a more dedicated, knowledgable user population and a faster fact-checking process and a quicker reaction to vandalism, not to mention a simpler, more user-friendly layoutand far, far, far less obstrusive ads. Totally not. It's all just the name.
Huh, when I did a search just now, was still in third place behind Wikipedia and this site. Also anon poster is a teeny bit rude. --Tetrap 20:20, October 15, 2009 (UTC)
Google takes into account your past history - so if you click on this wiki in your search results, it will get a boost in the results when you search again. And yes, our anonymous friend is not... friendly :)
But more importantly, I would suggest changing the page title back. It will take a while to see if it has any effect, but certainly seems worth doing to see if it has the effect I (and our SEO expert) think it will. -- sannse@fandom (talk) 02:15, October 20, 2009 (UTC)
Then is it possible that is coming up first for the OP because they're clicking on it in the Google results? --Tetrap 20:37, October 20, 2009 (UTC)
It's possible... but I did try searching when this was first mentioned and found a link to turn off that part of the search. With that off, I saw above But today, I see them the other way round, and no indication that the personalization is active (I cleared my cache, cookies and search history earlier today while checking a bug report elsewhere). So either the search has changed again, or the personalization is more hidden. Either way, I would still say that anything we can change (like the page title text) that will help keep this wiki high in search results has got to be helpful to the wiki :) -- sannse@fandom (talk) 21:47, October 20, 2009 (UTC)
Sannse, the fact that you and Wikia are trying to fix this via a technical means smacks of a corporate solution to a problem within this wiki's community. As the anonymous user there says, TF's community is just more knowledgeable and dedicated, because, hey, they were the ones who wrote most of the stuff here before Wikia pissed them off and they left. --FFN 19:09, October 26, 2009 (UTC)
It seems this wiki is back at the top of the results, even without the page title change. But I've adjusted it anyway... it will hopefully help -- sannse@fandom (talk) 23:14, October 27, 2009 (UTC)
Wouldn't it make more sense to improve the wiki instead of just fiddling around with page titles? It's like trying to cure a disease outbreak by changing the "Welcome to Townsville" sign. -- Semysane 23:48, October 27, 2009 (UTC)
Yeah. Especially since it's harmful to the TF fans if they're clicking on the first Google result and arriving at the TF wiki that's out of date, missing huge chunks of information, and full of vandalism and misinformation besides (in other words, this wiki), instead of going to the other wiki that currently has much more complete and accurate info.
If I were you, I'd worry much, much less about wasting time gaming Google to promote a currently trashy and useless site, and much, much more about actually listening to your users and putting in some actual hard work to help develop this wiki into something actually worthy of being the "top" TF wiki again. -- 10:28, October 28, 2009 (UTC)

Continued from User talk:TX55

Yes, I've seen it. Page ranking is a serious problem, but not the most. The biggest problem is the quality of the site (my opinion is similar to others', so I didn't post much), and we can't lose the site's name "Teletraan-1". --TX55TALK 02:22, October 30, 2009 (UTC)

Hypothetically speaking, advertising gets more attention in the short term, but if the actual site leaves too much to be desired, that increase won't last. On the other hand, devoting attention to bettering the quality of the site means that flaws are corrected, visitors are impressed, they tell their friends, their friends visit the site, and in the long term we get a steady increase that lasts much longer. Xeno the Hedgehog 02:43, October 30, 2009 (UTC)

Article quality Editar

Like my message said, I seldom patrol pages related Movie and Animated franchises. However, something suddenly stoke my mind and I took a look on three pages. Then I found something, um, you can call it horrible.

Vandalism, layout bastard, Out-universe writing, redundant stuff. And a ROTF section...
I don't know how to comment it.
Redundant trivia

I think we really need to look after the page quality. :) --TX55TALK 15:06, 19 July 2009 (UTC)

Alright, this is NOT funny. Whatever happened to the old red backgrounds? Why are we suddenly on standard, bare-bones Monaco instead of the old red backgrounds?

Also, why are there two ads jammed into the front page? No, wait, don't answer. I remember now. ---Blackout- 19:42, September 23, 2009 (UTC)

As for the skin... the Wikia staff changed it to interact with the ROTF film. Can anybody familiar with the Monaco-skin code change it back? Thanks. --TX55TALK 04:10, September 24, 2009 (UTC)

Cast sections Editar

Is just me or does anyone else feel some Cast section in some page such as The Transformers (cartoon) or Transformers Animated (cartoon) are getting TOO huge and crowded with bunch of minor characters? Those Cast section gotta be cleaned up. --TX55TALK 06:44, October 8, 2009 (UTC)

Besides, I think we should delete (d.), which is some sort of spoiler. --TX55TALK 17:07, October 9, 2009 (UTC)

Robot vs HumanoidEditar

I think we should stop using the term "Humanoid mode" and go back to using the term "Robot mode". by way of explanation, characters in several transformers series (including, but not limited to, Beast Wars and Animated) have spoken the term "robot mode" in canon. Furthermore, not all transformers have a humanoid physique, so the term "humanoid mode" is technically inaccurate. Your thoughts? Xeno the Hedgehog 06:13, October 16, 2009 (UTC)

I also prefer 'robot mode'. It helps to clarify things when there's characters like Howlback or Sky Lynx. Jeep! 23:39, October 16, 2009 (UTC)

I am not sure what my opinion is for now, but as for characters such as Ravage(G1) or Sky Lynk (G1), it's "beast mode and vehicle mode/alt mode". --TX55TALK 05:23, October 17, 2009 (UTC)

Robot seems a little easier, as it is one all-encompassing word. besides, beast or humanoid, it's usually self-explanatory. Xeno the Hedgehog 05:44, October 17, 2009 (UTC)

Layout BastardEditar

Just one day, we got more than 5 layout bastard, what the heck in the name of GOD is going on here!? Why some people just leave messes to other users like this never happened?! --TX55TALK 11:49, October 27, 2009 (UTC)

It was disabled at this wiki because it was being abused in a way that is against our policies. ProtectSite was not meant to be used non-stop in that fashion. It is for short time protections (that is why it has a short time limit), that other solutions cannot handle in a feasible/reasonable way. If you would have contacted Wikia support, with information of what was going on, we could have changed the wiki's configs to make similar protections permanent rather then have to manually enact them every 12 hours. You will no longer have access to the tool at this wiki. --Uberfuzzy@fandom 10:30, February 4, 2010 (UTC)

If the staff thinks the function has been abuse and is going to turn it off, at least any administrator should be warned and notice. This thing really happened too fast and is caught unawares. Can the function be re-enable in a prerequisite that the function will be no abuse again, before any vandalizer shows up next time? Thank you. --TX55TALK 12:39, February 4, 2010 (UTC) siteEditar

Then it's just me. BA$ 23:01, November 10, 2009 (UTC) is working fine. Run a scan on your system for anything out of the ordinary, I would recommend. --FFN 01:37, November 11, 2009 (UTC)

Transformers-challenged Mom needs help... Editar

Moved from Transformers Wiki talk:Community Portal/The Funny

I stumbled here looking for information / lists of Transformers Characters - you see, I am a Mom trying to fulfill her 4-year old son's repeated requests for X-mas that if he's good, Santa might bring him a "Daj-i-tay-ter" Transformer. I have searched for "Agitator" thinking he's massacred the character's name. No-go. If anyone who is obviously more Transformer literate than myself might help me decipher what Transformer my son is looking for, you'll make one 4-year old potentially VERY happy this holiday season. He did provide the description that this one has a "silver gun on his arm". Much appreciation in advance. -Desperately seeking Transformers "Mom"...

Judging from your description, I'd say that "Daj-i-tay-ter" is a mispronunciation of "Devastator". As for the one with the "silver gun on his arm", that would be either the recently-released Buster Optimus Prime (Not yet available in North America) or Megatron. I hope this helps. If you need any more info, feel free to ask. Xeno the Hedgehog 18:40, November 26, 2009 (UTC)
It would help if you had provided relevant links, Xeno the Hedgehog, and how did you come up with Buster Optimus Prime? How would a 4 year old child know about a toy that is only available in Japan?
To answer your first question, Buster Optimus Prime's fuel tanks can detach from his back and combine to form an ion blaster that attaches to his right hand. Furthermore they are silver in color. To answer your second question, pics and video reviews of the figure have been sprouting up all over the net as of late. It's also possible that the kid could have seen a trailer for RotF with Prime wielding his blaster, or the film itself, and was referring to the character, rather than an actual figure. I did not provide links, in part because I have not had much practice in doing so, and in part because I was under the impression that she only wanted clarification regarding the characters' identities. Besides, if she spent enough time searching to find this wiki, there is little doubt in my mind that she would continue to search elsewhere once she received the clarification she requested. Xeno the Hedgehog 20:29, November 30, 2009 (UTC)
Yes I know what Buster Prime is. And the suggestion that a 4 year old child might know about it because it has appeared in the obscurity of nerd-oriented online toy stores and TF sites does not compute with logic. --FFN 06:33, December 4, 2009 (UTC)
Hi Desperately seeking Transformers "Mom". There are several toys made for Constructicon Devastator as seen here
The big ticket item is the Combiner Class Constructicon Devastator toy:
You may be able to find this very large toy for a lower price at Walmart and such retailers, but I would question buying such a large toy for a 4 year old child.
Possibly a more suitable option is the Mega Power Bots Constructicon Devastator, which is a toy made for younger children:
Again, prices at Walmart and other discount department stores may be lower than the recommended retail price.
As for the one with the silver gun on his arm, I would recommend searching for "Megatron" on and see what suits your price range, and then see if that toy is available for a lower price elsewhere. Good luck! --FFN 15:42, November 30, 2009 (UTC)
I think the silver gun refers to Ironhide. Chadlupkes 18:22, November 30, 2009 (UTC)
In hindsite, that would be the obvious answer. Good call. Xeno the Hedgehog 20:29, November 30, 2009 (UTC)

Emergency! Editar

I have noticed that the Optimus Prime (G1) page has been vandalized by user User: and is in need of help. If anyone can do this, it would be nice. REAL NICE. Meta out! 07:47, November 27, 2009 (UTC)

Seriously Editar

Moved from Talk:Brawl (Movie)

why has noone else noticed that NONE of the articals actualy have naything about the charecter? only a long winded roll-in-story do derive their charecter from. now im not an expert but i will start a basic 'charecter' section before the 'fiction' heading, to include things like form, weaponry and personality. I did not do that, but you're welcome anyway... Editar

For some reason, I've been thanked for editing Megatron's page here. But I didn't. Really! Is there an explanation/reason for this?

For future reference, it is mandatory to sign your posts with four ~'s. To answer your question, the message you received is automated; everybody gets one upon submitting their first edit on the wiki, and every wiki is programed that way. My guess is that you clicked "edit" and then clicked "submit", which registers as an edit to the article, regardless of whether you actually made any changes. I'm a frequent user at Tfwiki (who before it went up, went here) and I thought I should mention to you guys: they seem to be starting to advertise the new War for Cybertron, transformers game on their main page. At one point they were doing so with Transformers Animated. Heck, it seems the image on their main page (the logo one) will change based on whichever series is popular at the time, and even changes to a different character when you hit refresh or go to the page again. Just a suggestion, but ROTF is kinda..old now. Its fine to advertise it, but might I suggest also advertising War for Cybertron, as it is far more up to date of a choice? Just a suggestion, do what you like with it--Chipmonk328

Thank you for your suggestion. We will look into it. Xeno the Hedgehog 00:09, February 2, 2010 (UTC)

Image uploading Editar

Okay, I've received a mail notifying me that:

  1. There are fan arts been uploaded and used in the normal pages. (I didn't find out because I didn't know they aren't official.) So Predefinição:M- I need someone tell me what is unofficial.
  2. There are way too many image without descriptions.

So, this is what I will do next:

  1. Until 2010-4-12, those image uploading recently without any description nor copyright template will be deleted.
  2. I'll delete anything used on the normal page looks like unofficial, starting later (after I come back).
  3. Do not used images (such as TFwiki, Seibertron) from other sites without permission. I'll deleted them.

Words cannot describe how happy I am having read about this new policy. Xeno the Hedgehog 03:55, April 10, 2010 (UTC)
I have a question. I saved a pic from Seibertron, then uploaded it as File:Cybertronian-optimus-prime.jpg. The photo is probably Hasbro stock art (as evidenced by other photos on the wiki). Did I break wiki rules?---Yzz, Master of DOOM 01:38, July 2, 2010 (UTC)
I think no, unless it's not stock photo. But judging from its look, I think it is an official stock photo. :) --TX55TALK 03:27, July 2, 2010 (UTC)

Image uploading, Part 2Editar

Question: How to make users follow the rules?! Most users just upload images without proper names, descriptions, copyright information. They even upload things can not be uploaded. I do really appreciate their passion, but it is much more troublesome to clean up the images than the newpagebastard. --TX55TALK 01:26, July 5, 2010 (UTC)

Okay, several hours right after my complain, here comes more mess for me to clean up. Don't those user ever look at their talk pages?! I really get pissed off whenever after clean those mess up. --TX55TALK 03:21, July 6, 2010 (UTC)

I think we should need main pictures with actions instead of just standing there. I'd like to hear some opinion no mater supporting or not. By the way, I delete those files which have been existed. --TX55TALK 17:18, June 14, 2010 (UTC)

I actually prefer the ones where they are in a standing pose. For example, Live-Action-Film Optimus Prime, to me, commands more respect in the image where he is standing than he does in the photo where he is in a battle pose. The standing position also allows the viewer to more easily look at the character in question and mentally reverse engineer them, as nothing is obscured. Furthermore, an action pose isn't always necessary to portray the personality of the character in the image. When you look at decepticons such as RiD Scourge, his color scheme and red-eyed glare tell all that there is to say. The same could be said of TFU The Fallen. Presence, not action, is the key to leaving a strong impression. Xeno the Hedgehog 04:01, June 15, 2010 (UTC)
Possibly I didn't make myself clear and wrote the last paragraph out of frustration. I must say you have the point. In my opinion, I think it depends, some needs action (like Optimus Prime (G1) or Devastator (ROTF)), while some needs standing (but with some "effects" if possible, like Optimus Prime (Movie)). --TX55TALK 11:14, June 15, 2010 (UTC)
To be honest, those may not be the best examples. G1 Prime, like all Primes that succeeded him, commands respect simply by being Optimus Prime, and Devastator is already imposing due to his large size and mismatched limbs; just the fact that his body is asymmetrical is already enough to make him stand out. I will agree that there are some characters deserving of action poses, but I think such poses should be reserved for those characters whose personalities it would emphasize, such as Blurr. Xeno the Hedgehog 14:52, June 15, 2010 (UTC)
Oops, I mean Optimus Prime (G1) and Devastator (ROTF)'s images are "with action". (that is, "They are good examples for those images with actions." )I didn't mean their pictures need to be replaced. --TX55TALK 17:12, June 15, 2010 (UTC)

Links to here from Wikipedia. Also most Transformer articles on Wikipedia soon to be deleted Editar

Moved from The Funny

Someone is making their rounds nominating one batch of Transformer articles after another for deletion. First the planet articles were eliminated, now the spaceship articles are all nominated, plus various characters, and perhaps more[1]. Anyway, it'd be nice for fans looking for information on the Wikipedia to be redirected here. It meets all the requirements to be considered a valid external link. I just added a link to the Ark article from there to here and I'm thinking if people went through and added links to every Transformer article there is, you'd get more traffic here. I'll add a few links here and there myself, but that is a lot of articles to work with, so some help would be appreciated. Dream Focus 10:27, August 29, 2010 (UTC)

It DOESN'T SURPRISE me, since there are many Wikipedia users possesses thought which can be hardly understandable. I've joint the discussion to support the keep instead of merge anyway. --TX55TALK 16:32, August 29, 2010 (UTC)
